Featuring a folded low-frequency design with a broad resonance frequency range of 25–110 Hz, the M-2280 delivers exceptional low-frequency performance. It achieves deep low-frequency extension down to 33 Hz, alongside powerful dynamic impact from 70 Hz to 120 Hz.
This dual 21 inch subwoofer employs a specialized folded horn structure, enabling the long-throw drivers to generate sound waves that travel through an extended airflow path for ultra-deep low-frequency response. The internal smooth, curved contour ensures laminar airflow, minimizing turbulence noise to nearly inaudible levels.
Like the M-1280, the M-2280 can form a cardioid subwoofer array when used in groups of three or multiples of three, delivering precise low-frequency directivity control and significantly reducing rear sound radiation.
By positioning one enclosure rear-facing and driving it with amplifiers compatible with OPRA A+ software, the system achieves optimized directional control.
The enclosure is constructed from high-strength marine-grade plywood and finished with an IP56-rated, impact-resistant and weatherproof water-based coating. It includes a robust front metal grille with acoustically transparent foam, side handles for easy handling, and four rubber feet to protect the cabinet from scuffs and abrasion.
